A re-designed vise modeled after the Universal Vise. It was in it's day, the only vise of it's kind on the market. It is truly a fly tying machine. Once you master using it as a rotary tool, you will find you not only gain speed in tying but will gain a goodly amount of consistency in the flies you tie. I have been using the Original of this vise since one was given to me by the owner of Universal Fly Tying Materials way back in 1950. It was one of the first to be seen. I used it at the N.Y. Sportsman's Show in The Old Lexington Palace.
All of the bugs of the original have been eliminated in the New Roto-Vise Design. The CamlLock Pin is a much harder steel to prevent Snapping. The Jaws have a New Steel Hardness that grips the hook with very little cam pressure needed. The Vise turnssmoothly and is centric rather then being excentric as the original.A small handle has been added to the wheel rim edge. This allows slow turning control
The Vise comes with a heavy cast C-Clamp with Brass Hardware, A Material Clip and a Bobbin Support. Also a brochure on how to use the vise as well as a parts assembly diagram. The vise has a 2 year warranty for Materials or Workmanship Defects.
